Music And Beyond- "Bob Marley"

Whenever anyone comes across the word reggae the first name that they can think of is off course Bob Marley.

The Jamaican legend, king of reggae Bob Marley did it his way. With a unique combination of fun loving, easy going Caribbean music along with powerful lyrics, He inspired a generation to unite and stand together to celebrate life in peace and Harmony.

Some of his most classic numbers include buffalo soldier, no woman no cry, could you be loved, get up stand up, stir it up, three little birdie’s, one love, I shot the sheriff, exodus and many more.

But on April 22nd 1978 he did something that gave him god like status, not only in Jamaica but all over the world.

There was political unrest in the country, the two political parties were fighting and the whole nation was affected. Bob Marley decided to do the one love concert as his effort to unite the people once again.

The Warring political leaders Prime Minister Michael Manley and Edward Seaga were invited to the concert. Bob Marley managed to get both of them on stage and to shake hands in front of the people which ended the fight.

That night to every Jamaican, every fan and every humanitarian was unique, as they enjoyed that moment of unity and witnessed a man going beyond the conventional proving to the world that music is defiantly the biggest religion that prevails, it can bring people of all kinds and views together.

It is that day and today no one can help surrendering to his music. Even though if he is not with us today, his spirit, thoughts and beliefs are still alive and are talking to us through his music, t-shirts, caps, accessories, posters and tattoo’s.

\m/…. “Most people think, Great God will come from the skies, Take away everything And make everybody feel high. But if you know what life is worth, You will look for yours on earth: And now you see the light, You stand up for your rights. jah!” \m/… - Bob Marley.
