A War Within

A boy is born
A hope for his family
their long awaited joy they found in him

The boy grows up

They say you have to go to school

He asks why?

To learn they say

They say you will make friends,

learn new things prepare yourself for life.

The boy does not understand but goes to school

He try’s his best

But learns soon that he can’t understand what is going on

People around him they do

He does not understand why?

The numbers go over his head

The boy can’t speak he is not confident enough

They laugh on him they put him down

He does not understand why?

He looks up to the teachers

They look down on him

They prefer the sharper ones and give them command

He does not understand why?

He asks himself

Again and again

But he can’t get it

He does not understand why?

The image of the temple of knowledge blurs in his mind

Is it a temple where you can learn?

Is it a temple for everyone?

Why he is like this?

Why doesn’t any one help him?

He asks himself

But he does not understand?

His family faces shame for him

He decides to fight the system

He thrives in a cocoon

He works hard

And he reaches there

Years later, that boy is a different person

But the rebel in him is still alive

It is time for him to break the cocoon

And shine out bright

He makes his family proud

He has learned it the hard way he knows

His learning shall continue no matter how old he grows

He has fought the sands of time and one thing he knows

Knowledge is for everyone spread it and it grows!!
